Eagle Crest High. Home of—predictably—the Eagles. Rachel had always looked forward to walking its halls. High School. Ninth grade. She'd expected the homework that was sure to be piled on them. She expected the very high possibility of getting detention and less-than-passable grades. What she hadn't expected.... was Troy McGour.
Troy McGour. Basketball extraordinaire. Baseball king. Football superstar. Most girls wanted him, most guys wanted to be him. Perfect blond hair, gorgeous blue eyes, perfect teeth. And a major personality flaw: He was the school bully. And it didn't help that he was her next door neighbor.
So far today, he'd managed to push her permanently to the bottom of the social ladder and nearly beat the crap out of her, as she couldn't afford to fight back for fear of seriously injuring him. She found this a deed worth thanking him for. The last thing she wanted was popularity.
Class was beginning in five minutes, and Rachel was beginning to wonder where Slane Sorax was. Despite his own ghost-fighting exploits, they usually met before they reached the school building. She stood outside the building—looking as if she hadn't been beaten at all, thanks to the fact that she, like all Halfas, healed quickly—and scanned both the crowd and sky for her best friend.

Slane was running a little late today, he had woken up late. He was up really late last night, just thinking about his life. He was now running down the stairs as he turned into ghost form, said bye to everyone, and then jumped threw the door flying into the air. He flew as fast as he could toward the school. Once he was about a block away he flew down to the ground, and turned back into his human form behind a dumpster. Then he ran as fast as he could to the school, and as usual there was Rae outside the school waiting for him. "Hey Rae!" Slane said as he ran up to the girl halfa and gave her a big bear hug.

It wasn't long before he came into view, his characteristically unruly, spiky light brown hair standing out from the crowd. "Hey Rae!" he called out, surprising her by practically throwing himself upon her. "Uhh, Slane? People are staring." Rachel replied, glancing around.
And so they were. Great. Half the school probably thought they were a couple now. She pushed him off gently, although she was still grinning at his typical 'Slane-ness.' They entered the building and walked toward their lockers—208 for Rachel and 209 for Slane. "Good to see you too. What kept you?"—she glanced around and lowered her voice before she continued—"Did a ghost show up or something?"

((Sorry it took me sooooo long, I will try to be on here more... and my friend isn't going to be on here at all. He isn't the kind of guy who would get into this kind of stuff anyway.))
"Oh, they can stare all they want!" Slane laughed back. They headed to their lockers, which were right next to eachother, as usual. Slane opened his locker, when Rachel began about him being late and if there were any ghosts. Slane leaned near her and spoke outloud, but quiet enough so only she could hear, "Of course there weren't any ghosts," returning to his normal voice he said, "I just woke up late, that's all." He finished as he faced forword into his empty locker. "As I can see, you were early." Slane said in a jokingly rude voice.

"Early? Me? What makes you say that?" Rae replied in tones of mock innocence. "I just wasn't late."
She glanced down at her schedule. Psychology. She made a face in annoyance. Great. With her luck, the Box Ghost would make up for not appearing at his usual seven in the morning by popping in just as things started getting slightly interesting.
"What's your first class, anyway?"

"You a point." Slane said to her first range of 'I'm not that inoccent'. Slane glanced at her schedule when she looked at, then he looked at his. "Well as it happens, we both have Psychology together for first period." Slane said as he grinned over at her, "Want to head off?" Slane asked. It was the first day, they would need to take nearly all their stuff with them, so there was no point in being at their lockers.

"Sounds good to me." Rachel agreed, closing the locker door which she had opened out of habit. "Let's just hope old Boxy doesn't decide to show up and annoy us."
As they entered the classroom, Rae was pleased to discover that teacher seemed to be the late one this time around. They took their seats just as he entered the room.
He was surprisingly young for a teacher, in his late twenties or early thirties. He had messy brown hair and dark green eyes. His clothes were actually up-to-date and in-style, for adults, and he seemed to be approaching the rugged-good-looks approach with his partially-unshaven beard and mustache. He had an air about him that suggested he was rather lenient, which probably make the year easier for the two young halfas. In a cheery, good-natured voice, he began the lesson.
"Good morning students, my name is Mr. Pierce, and welcome to Introduction to Psychology! This is a video-intensive course that delves into basic psychology, the brain, and the mind, which means the television should be getting some heavy use this year. It explores such topics as memory, sensation, mood disorders, and sleep patterns. In addition to videos and other resources, this course makes heavy use of various internet sources...."
Rae found the class already seemed interesting, but apparently she'd jinxed it when she'd voiced the hope that the Box Ghost would not make his daily, morning appearance...
A sensation of having just plunged into a pool of ice water rushed over her and she gave a sharp—yet quiet—gasp, a silvery mist drifting from between her lips. The usual call of "BEWARE!" came from the hall outside the door. Rachel face-palmed, annoyed.

Slane watched as the teacher walked in. This was going to be a great class, and by the looks of things, they could joke around a LOT. Slane was thinking about how this teacher might be his new altime favorite, when Slane saw the signs that a ghost was near, from Rachel. Then he got the same signs from his own body. Slane raised his hand and said, "May I go to the bathroom?" Slane said. He had used 'May I' for a long time now, considering all the times a teacher had made him wait til he didn't ask with 'can I'. Not waiting for an answer from the teacher, he got up and joilted out of the classroom door.

//OOC| Gah. Too unimaginative to come up with my own invention for her to capture ghosts, so we'll say she bought one like Val in Shades of Gray. You can play TBG if you want. XD \\
Mr. Pierce blinked at the boy's sudden disappearance, an amused expression crossing his face. "Anyone else want to suddenly run from my classroom while I'm in the middle of teaching?" he chuckled, then stopped and stared as Rae calmly stood up and left the room, giving absolutely no explanation whatsoever and leaving the entire class, including the teacher himself, in an uproar of laughing. "I didn't mean seriously!" he gasped between his uncontrollable laughter.
Once outside the classroom, Rachel took off running for the ladies room. Thankfully, it was empty and she was able to spirit shift in secret. Once the silver rings had engulfed her form, she phased out of the room, quickly grabbed her Thermos, which closely resembled the said soup containing object, and went to find the Box Ghost.

((WOW Keahi...LOL you had me laughen pretty hard, and it wasn't THAT funny, but it was funny.))
As Slane guessed, Rachel come out of the class right after him. She got the whole class to laugh, including the teacher, as she had just walked out. Slane was going to have to ask her how she did that. He began to run to the boy's bathroom as Rae was catching up. He ran in the door, and looked down to see if anyone's feet were there, to make sure no one was in the bathroom. Once he found out no one was there, he glowed all blue so only his outline showed. Then he was in ghost form. Now known as Roxas. Roxas ran out the door, and saw Rachel looking for the Box Ghost. Roxas jumped into the air and flew after her. He caught up with her and asked, "Any luck?"

//OOC| Lol. XDDD ......You said "Roxas ran out the door, and saw Keahi looking for the Box Ghost." It's Rachel. XD \\
It wasn't long before Slane arrived as Roxas, also in search of the disturbance. "Any luck?" "Nothing so—"
Before she could complete her sentence, he suddenly phased through the wall and set of lockers to their right, rambling something about 'taking control of Pandora's Box'; evidently, he had just passed through the Mythology classroom. "Make that an 'affirmative.'"
Rae grabbed her Thermos from her belt, but before she could activate it, 'Boxy' noticed them and threw a locker at her. Great. A quick shield stopped it from hitting her, but she'd dropped the Thermos in the process. Now it was lost somewhere in the hallway.
"Oh, crud."

((LOL oh well you'll always be Keahi/Rae in my mind, so sorry if I switch between the two! LOL))
Roxas was about to block the locker from hitting Rachel, but the girl halfa protected herself in the proccess. As Roxas was watching, the thermos she had slid across the floor. It just so happens that good ol' 'Boxy' saw it too. He flew down threw the floor, and grabbed the thermos on his way up. "Crap, Rae we need to get that... With a quick movement, 'Boxy' opened the thermos and sent Roxas inside to the ghost relm. Then, he turned to Rachel to do the same thing.

//OOC| Danny's Thermos doesn't send ghosts into the Ghost Zone, it simply captures them. But... let's make that a special feature of hers. ^.^ \\ "Oh, super crud." Rae muttered as Slane was captured by the Box Ghost. Then he turned to capture her. Rachel was one of the oldest halfas out there. She'd had her powers as long as she could remember, since she was four years old. She'd been fighting ghosts for half of her lifetime, using the very same Thermos currently being aimed at her. Therefore, her reflexes were extremely good. But 'Boxy' wasn't a very good aim, and her sudden jerk to the side was, in fact, the reason she found herself engulfed in the bright blue beam and was sucked into the Ghost Zone. //OOC| Continued in " This Is Bad. Very Bad." \\

//OOC| Returning from " This Is Bad. Very Bad." \\ "There's the school!" Rae cried, pointing. The ride had lasted about five minutes at full speed, but it seemed they couldn't have arrived at a better time. The school had already evacuated; students could still be seen running down the sidewalks away from the school. About five lockers went crashing through the wall and fell to the ground outside. Rachel's face went white and she swore loudly, several curses slipping from her lips, although she only shouted the first, it being "CRAP!" The silver ring appeared around her waist and she returned to ghost form, went intangible, and streaked at her full three-hundred-and sixty miles per hour out of the Glider. No one, ghost, human, or halfa, was going to be allowed to cause prolonged chaos in Bridgeton. That had been her sworn oath for years, and she was not about to let it start now. In her anger, however, the girl didn't notice that the school was in far worse a state than Boxy had the power to put it in. There was more than one ghost at Eagle Crest High, as she discovered when the snake left through the front doors and glared at her, fearlessly making eye contact. She would have been fearless too, if she were a snake with venomous fangs and about forty feet of body length. The thing was massive. And he wasn't alone. Another phased through the wall on his left, this one slightly smaller, and a third, even longer one smashed through the wall to first's right. Boxy himself was floating around, flinging lockers everywhere and still carrying the Thermos.
